Can you believe that it’s almost November? It’s crazy! Celebrating Halloween tomorrow and then this weekend it is time for the area’s foremost unique event… Punkin’ Chunkin’!
The annual World Championship Punkin Chunkin competition will be held all weekend long in Bridgeville. The field is full this year! The competition is hosted by the World Championship Punkin Chunkin Association (WCPCA) which raises money for scholarships and other organizations that benefit youth in the local community. This year’s event begins at 7:30am when the gates open on Friday, competition begins at 8am. Competitions continues on Saturday and Sunday and the weekend is rounded out with a Cooking Contest, Chili Cookoff, Miss Punkin Pageant, and fireworks!
