Happy Memorial Day

Thank you to all the service men and women who have put their lives on the line for the freedoms that we enjoy in this country!  I hope everyone is having a safe and enjoyable weekend.

And now that the summer season is officially kicked off it’s officially the time of year for all of the free concerts to begin!  The Town of Milton free summer concert series starts this week on Wednesday, 5/29 at 7pm.  Concerts are held in Milton Memorial Park, and moved to the Fire Hall in case of inclement weather.  This week will feature Reunion Band which plays Chicago-style rock music.  Refreshments are available.

If you’re looking for a way to honor those who have served, there are two local Memorial Day Ceremonies taking place on Wednesday (5/30).  One will be conducted by VFW Post 7447 at the Rehoboth Beach Bandstand at 11am.  Another will be hosted by the American Legion Post in Lewes at their Outdoor Pavilion also at 11am.  For Rehoboth information call 302-227-3469.  For Lewes information call 302-645-1751.
