Thursday, April 25th-Sunday, April 28th: Delaware Birding Weekend
Delaware’s annual birding weekend celebrates the spring migration of many species of local birds. With more than 400 species recorded in the Delmarva Peninsula and a variety of environments there are many opportunities for rare sightings. Saturday, April 27th: Flower & Art Festival
Head down to the East Coast Garden Center (30366 Cordrey Road) in Millsboro for a fun family day including food, face painting, spring plants, local artists, and more! The festival runs from 8am-5pm with a cooking class, “Cooking With Herbs,” at 11am.
Saturday, April 27th: Queen’s Day
Celebrate the Dutch monarchy with Queen’s Day at the Zwaanendael Museum. The celebration runs from 10am-4:30pm on Saturday. For more information call 302-645-1148.
Saturday, April 27th: Chili Cookoff
Head into Rusty Rudder (Dickinson Street ant Hwy 1) in Dewey Beach and sample chilis from over thirty vendors who compete for Best Chili and Best Decorated Booth awards. This event is delicious and free for all ages!
Saturday, April 27th: Mid-Atlantic Symphony Orchestra Finale Concert
Come out to Mariner’s Bethel United Methodist Church (81 Central Ave. at the corner of Route 26) for the season finale concert featuring guest artists playing the classics. For more information or tickets, call 888-846-8600.
Sunday, April 28th: Vintage Baseball Game
The Lewes Historical Society is the proud home of the Lewes Vintage Base Ball Club, which enjoys our national pastime with a few twists on contemporary rules. The game begins at 1pm and will played at the University of Delaware Lewes campus at 700 Pilottown Road.
